Poland records sold production growth in 24 industrial sectors in October - stats office
In October, according to preliminary data, an increase in sold production (at constant prices) was recorded in 24 industrial sectors, Poland stats office GUS reported on Monday.
According to preliminary data, increases in sold production were recorded, among others, in the sector of other transport equipment manufacturing - by 36.5 percent; computers, electronic and optical products - by 15 percent; paper and paper products - by 13.6 percent; furniture - by 13.1 percent; food (groceries) - by 10 percent; other non-metallic mineral products - by 8.2 percent; wood, cork, straw and wicker products - by 7.7 percent; motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers - by 6 percent.
On the other hand, a year-on-year decrease in sold industrial production occurred in 10 sectors of Polish industry, including repair, maintenance and installation of machinery and equipment - by 16.6 percent; in the mining of hard coal and lignite - by 16.5 percent and in the manufacturing of electrical equipment - by 4.6 percent.
