Poland signs agreement on conditions for exporting Polish poultry to China
A Polish-Chinese agreement on conditions for exporting Polish poultry to China has been signed, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development said in a statement. The document concerns the application of regionalization in poultry meat exports to China.
"Regionalization is a principle that allows the export of poultry meat from regions free of outbreaks of poultry diseases (HPAI, ND). Its recognition by the importing country helps avoid a ban across the entire country in case of infections," the statement said.
"During the most successful years (before 2020), Polish poultry meat exports to China reached up to EUR 55 million. Currently, Poland's export potential is greater, and the ability to ship this product to the Chinese market is of significant importance to Polish poultry producers," it added.
