Poland's energy price freezing decision for 2026 will be made in late autumn
The decision on freezing energy prices in 2026 will be made in late autumn, Milosz Motyka, the energy minister appointed on Wednesday, said on a Polish television channel TVN 24.
"The decision will be made in late autumn," he said when asked about freezing prices for the next year.
Poland's parliament passed a bill freezing prices for the fourth quarter of this year. However, this provision is attached to the so-called wind turbine bill, and ruling coalition politicians fear that President Andrzej Duda may veto the bill.
Motyka said that in that case, one of the solutions would be to prepare a separate bill on freezing prices until the end of the year.
