Poland's exports up 1.4 pct y/y to over EUR 28 bln in February - economic chamber

Poland's exports in February rose by 1.4 percent year on year and by 2.8 percent month on month to EUR 28.008 billion according to economic chamber KIG.

"The data currently available on the state of the real economy and the opinions obtained from the members of KIG allow us to estimate that exports in February 2025, amounted to EUR 28.008 billion. The volume of exports in March will, for seasonal reasons, be higher than that recorded in February," the chamber assessed.

KIG noted that February is usually the month when export activity stabilises or increases slightly after the previous very strong increase in January.

"The trade continues to build up the stocks needed to start selling the spring collection. The industry is building up the stocks needed to fulfil the deliveries contracted for the year. A gradual seasonal increase in export activity is indicated by both industry performance and wholesale trade turnover. For 2025, the improvement recorded in February may be slightly better than that observed a year ago," KIG added.

The chamber estimates that in 2025, Polish exports are likely to reach EUR 352.5 billion, up 6.0 percent year on year, and in 2026, amounting to EUR 386.1 billion, they could increase by 9.5 percent in annual terms.
