Poland's monthly business climate index MIK rises to 97.8 pts in August - PIE
Poland's monthly business climate index (MIK), measuring the economic sentiment of businesses in Poland, has increased by 0.3 points to 97.8 in August, according to a survey conducted by the Polish Economic Institute (PIE).
PIE reported that this is the fourth month in a row when the index is below the neutral level of 100.0 points, meaning that negative sentiment outweighs positive sentiment among businesses.
The current MIK value is 5.1 points lower than this year's highest value recorded in February and April (102.9 points) and 0.4 points lower than last year's August reading (98.2 points), which also reflected the prevalence of negative sentiment.
