Polish local governments yet to use PLN 16 bln from national recovery plan
Up to PLN 36 billion (EUR 8.5 bln) from the national recovery plan KPO will go to local governments, with around PLN 16 billion (EUR 3.8 bln) still available for use, Poland's Ministry of Development Funds and Regional Policy (MFiPR) said.
"Today is a special day for the national recovery plan KPO. We have signed the 900,000th KPO agreement," Poland's minister of development funds and regional policy Katarzyna Pelczynska-Nalecz told a conference in Olsztyn.
The funds will be used for local investments, including hospital expansion and equipment, high-speed internet, and-from 2026-building and upgrading protective structures, road infrastructure and cybersecurity.
