Polish Parliamentary Speaker calls on NBP governor for no delay in rate cuts
Parliamentary Speaker and leader of Poland 2050 Szymon Holownia called on the X platform on the Poland's central bank NBP governor not to delay interest rate cuts.
"The pressure makes sense. Better late than never. Now without undue delay, Mr. Governor," Holownia wrote.
Earlier, Holownia himself called for a rate cut, as well as other major presidential candidates, Karol Nawrocki and Rafal Trzaskowski.
On Thursday, NBP governor Adam Glapinski announced that the MPC had changed to a dovish stance and was moving towards rate cuts, possibly as early as May, depending on the data.
