Poland to eye three-times-faster investment process in defence sector thanks to special law, says PM
Thanks to the special law, the investment process in the field of defence will be three times faster, announced Poland's Prime Minister Donald Tusk. At Tuesday's meeting, the Council of Ministers is to address, among other things, the concept of legal solutions for the implementation of strategic and key investments in the area of national defence needs.
"The law concerning military fortifications, it is mainly about 'Shield East' but not only, and all investments directly related to the defence industry. It is about ensuring that investments concerning our fortifications, securing the border and the defence industry are not bogged down by excessive bureaucratic regulations," the Prime Minister said.
"I know that this will raise emotions, that there are some comments and from several ministries, but I will treat this - together with the Ministry of National Defence - as an absolute priority and we will carry out this law as quickly as possible. The assumption is ambitious, but feasible; the investment process will be three times faster thanks to this special law," he added.
