Orlen SAOrlen energy increases recoverable natural gas reserves from Trzebusz field by 700 mln cbm
Poland's largest energy concern Orlen increased recoverable natural gas reserves from the Trzebusz field located in the West Pomeranian region by 700 million cubic metres, the group said in a press release. Total recoverable natural gas reserves in this region increased to 2.3 billion cubic metres.
Orlen announced that these activities are part of Orlen's strategy to develop domestic gas production. By 2030, the company wants to increase annual gas production from domestic deposits to 4 billion cubic metres.
"This requires investments that are important for the energy transition, the availability of raw materials essential for many industries, and Poland's energy security," said Orlen's board member for Upstream Wieslaw Prugar, quoted in the press release.
"To achieve the goal of increasing production, we have focused on deposits located near those we already exploit, which allows us to use existing infrastructure and reduce costs," he added.
