Listed video games developer 11 bit studios maintains its plan to achieve better year-on-year results in 2025, but it will be challenging, CFO Martin Balawajder told a video conference. Company's CEO Przemyslaw Marszal indicated that work on Frostpunk 1886 is proceeding according to plan, and by the end of the year, 11 bit studios wants to have 25 developers on the project team.
"That is still our plan, but we also have to be realistic. We have been working in a completely different environment for 12 months (...), but I would call it our plan and also a challenge," CFO Balawajder told the video conference on the second quarter results, reffering to company's assumptions of improving its results in annual terms.
He also pointed out that Moonlighter 2 will be the last game covered by 11 bit studios' agreement with Microsoft for the Game Pass subscription platform. He added that the company is currently in talks with several platforms.
"We will also be looking for new platforms [e.g. consoles - PAP ed.] for our games," said 11 bit studio's CEO Przemyslaw Marszal.
The CEO added that work on Frostpunk 1886 is proceeding according to plan. Seventeen developers are currently working on the title, and by the end of 2025, the game developer intends to increase the team to 25 people. The title is set to debut in 2027.
Marszal also pointed out that the company's plan is to release the first DLC for Frostpunk 2 in 2025. He indicated that work on the add-on is currently focused on improving minor elements.
