PGE SAPGE power secures 2,558.359 MW total at supplementary capacity auction for 2026 deliveries
Listed power utility PGE group's generating units have secured a total of at least 2,558.359 MW of capacity obligation in a supplementary auction for the 2026 delivery year, Tauron announced in a market filling.
The closing price of the auction is within the range of PLN 365.29 (EUR 85.7) per kW per year and PLN 324.73 (EUR 76.18) per kW per year. Tauron group's revenues from the capacity market, calculated based on the above auction closing price range, will amount to PLN 508.98 - 572.57 million (EUR 119.4 - 134.3 mln).
The rounded total volume of offered capacity obligations at the auction was 7,500 MW.
Poland's grid operator PSE will publish the preliminary results of the capacity auction within three working days of the auction date. The final results of the capacity auction will be announced by the head of Poland's energy market regulator URE on the first working day following the 21st day after the end of the capacity auction.
The total volume of PGE's capacity agreements concluded for the 2026 delivery year, including agreements from previous main and additional auctions, amounts to no less than 11,511.579 MW.
