PKO BP SAPKO BP lender's board recommends paying dividend of PLN 5.48 per share from 2024 profit
Poland's largest lender by assets PKO BP's management board recommends the payment of a dividend from net profit for 2024 in the amount of PLN 5.48 (EUR 1.28) per share, the bank said in a market filing.
According to the board's proposal, PLN 6.85 billion (EUR 1.6 bln) or 74.87 percent of 2024 net profit is to be earmarked for the dividend.
The dividend date is proposed to be August 5, and the suggested payment date is August 14, 2025.
The remaining part of the net profit achieved in 2024, amounting to PLN 2.3 billion (EUR 537.5 mln), is recommended by the management board to be allocated to reserve capital for the payment of dividends, including interim dividends.
"Any decision of the bank's management Board to make an interim dividend payment also requires the approval of the bank's supervisory board. Furthermore, the payment of the interim dividend will depend on the bank's positive position of the Polish Financial Supervision Authority [Poland's financial watchdog KNF - MI ed.] and the current economic and market situation," the bank stressed in the market filing.
In addition, the management board of PKO BP recommends that the undistributed profit from previous years in the amount of PLN 9.44 billion (EUR 2.2 bln) remains undistributed.
In 2024, PKO BP's ordinary general meeting of shareholders decided to pay a dividend of PLN 2.59 (EUR 0.61) per share from the profit made in 2023.
