Poland sees PLN 549 mln invested by VC companies in Q2 2025 - report
Poland saw PLN 549 million (EUR 128.7 mln) invested by both domestic and foreign venture capital companies in the second quarter of 2025, according to a report by Poland's development fund PFR subsidiary PFR Ventures and Inovo VC. There was also a 30 percent increase in number of investments compared to the quarterly average from the previous five quarters.
As reported, PLN 549 million (EUR 128.7 mln) is the total value of capital that Polish and foreign funds have invested in 48 transactions in domestic innovative enterprises.
The report pointed out that compared to the first quarter of 2025, the value of investments increased by over 22 percent with a similar number of funds involved. The number of transactions changed, increasing particularly in the seed round segment.
"For the first time since the end of 2023, we have exceeded the threshold of 30 seeds – as many as 40 in the second quarter. At the same time, three of them included EU capital (FENG)," said PFR Ventures' deputy head Aleksander Mokrzycki, quoted in the report.
"Considering that in the coming months the number of transactions involving EU funds will increase significantly, the revival of this market is still ahead of us," he added.
