PZU insurer sees COR ratio from Q1 as difficult to maintain throughout 2025

Listed insurance group PZU assesses that the low combined ratio (COR) recorded in the first quarter, will be difficult to maintain throughout 2025, the acting CEO Andrzej Klesyk told a conference following the publication of group's financial report.


"It is difficult to imagine that we will maintain such a combined ratio throughout the year. We were fortunate in the first quarter in terms of the weather, but also in terms of the lack of catastrophic events or large corporate damages," Klesyk said.

PZU's combined ratio (COR) in property insurance in Poland fell to 82.5 percent in the first quarter of 2025 from 90.1 percent in the prior year period.
