Listed power utility Tauron PE has signed an annex to the loan agreement with Poland's state development bank BGK from the national recovery plan KPO, increasing the loan amount from PLN 11 billion (EUR 2.6 bln) to PLN 15.87 billion (EUR 3.7 bln), this is by PLN 4.87 billion (EUR 1.1 bln), the company said in a market filing.
"The funds from the loan agreement are intended exclusively to finance eligible expenses incurred by Tauron Dystrybucja for the development and adaptation of the power grid to the needs of energy transformation and climate change," the statement said.
It was announced that the funds made available under the agreement bear interest at a fixed rate of 0.5 percent per annum. The loan is to be repaid in 2034-2049, in half-yearly instalments (the final repayment date is 25 years from the date of conclusion of the agreement).
