Torpol SATorpol builder posts PLN 10.1 mln net take in Q1 2025; backlog at around PLN 3.35 bln net
Listed builder Torpol posted a net profit of PLN 10.1 million (EUR 2.37 mln) in the first quarter of 2025, down from PLN 10.8 million (EUR 2.54 mln) in the prior year period, in line with estimates, the group's financial report has shown. The order backlog amounts to approximately PLN 3.35 billion (EUR 797.6 mln) net.
Revenues rose to PLN 385.3 million (EUR 90.6 mln) from PLN 260.5 million (EUR 61.24 mln) in the prior year period.
Torpol's first quarter gross profit from sales increased in annual terms to PLN 23.4 million (EUR 5.5 mln) from PLN 20 million (EUR 4.7 mln) a year earlier, while operating profit rose to PLN 11.3 million (EUR 2.66 mln) from PLN 7.5 million (EUR 1.76 mln) in the first quarter of 2024.
According to the quarterly report, the group currently has an order book of approximately PLN 3.35 billion (EUR 797.6 mln) net (excluding consortium members).
The average return on gross sales from the group's order backlog in the first quarter of 2025 was 6.08 percent (down from 7.68 percent in the prior year period).
The group intends to further develop its machinery fleet, mainly under the track and network works segment. It plans to incur capital expenditure of approximately PLN 61.9 million (EUR 14.55 mln) in 2025.
