Poland's state development bank BGK has granted PLN 242.206 billion (EUR 56.5 bln) in guarantees under the state programme of de minimis credit guarantees by the end of March 2025, up by nearly PLN 3.13 billion (EUR 729.5 mln) from PLN 239.079 billion (EUR 55.8 bln) in February, BGK's data showed.
The guarantees translated into PLN 375.768 billion (EUR 87.6 bln) loans issued to companies.
As BGK reported, 297,584 companies have taken out loans within the programme since its launch in March 2013.
The 'de minimis' programme is aimed at providing co-guarantees for loans for small- and medium-sized enterprises, taking some of the risk burden away from the commercial banks. It has been operating since 2013.
