EC receives Poland's request for third payment of EU funds under national recovery plan
The European Commission has received Poland's third request for payment of EU funds under the national recovery plan KPO, amounting to EUR 4.2 billion in grants and EUR 3.1 billion in loans, net of advances, the EC said in a statement.
The EC reported that Poland's proposal addresses a total of 41 milestones and targets.
"It includes reforms to match skills to labour market needs, accelerate the development of hydrogen technologies and improve public employment services," the Commission said in the statement.
"In the area of public health, reforms include the entry into force of the National Cardiac Network act, improvements in the efficiency and modernisation of hospitals and the introduction of low emission zones for the largest and most polluted cities," it added.
The EC reported that the proposal also includes investments to shorten the supply chain of agricultural and food products, investments in replacing heat sources and improving energy efficiency in single-family housing, as well as projects to improve road safety.
The Commission will now assess Poland's achievement of the milestones and targets associated with this payment request. It will then share its preliminary assessment with the Council's Economic and Financial Committee.
