Poland to reinstate temporary border controls with Germany and Lithuania until August 5
From Monday, July 7, until August 5, Poland will reinstate temporary border controls with Germany and Lithuania, according to a draft regulation issued by the Ministry of the Interior and Administration (MSWiA).
The draft states that border controls with Germany and Lithuania will be temporarily restored. The annex lists the relevant border crossings, permitted traffic, opening hours, and territorial scope.
"In the period from July 7, 2025, to August 5, 2025, it will be possible to carry out border controls on persons entering Poland and to refuse entry into Polish territory to persons for whom there are grounds for such a refusal," the ministry stated.
