Poland's government reconstruction not controversial; 1.5 months needed to align stance
The issue of government reconstruction is not controversial in the Polish ruling coalition, up to 1.5 months are needed to for the stance of parties to align, Deputy Speaker of Poland's parliament lower house Sejm Wlodzimierz Czarzasty, co-leader of the left-wing coalition member Nowa Lewica (New Left) told a conference following the coalition talks. Sejm Speaker Szymon Holownia said there would be a coalition council and a new government information centre.
"The issue of government reconstruction within our four circles is not controversial. We all agree that it has to happen," Czarzasty told the joint conference with Sejm Speaker Szymon Holownia and Deputy Prime Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz.
"We need to prepare sensibly for this. To make the stance coherent, we need 1-1.5 months," he added.
Holownia announced that a coalition council would be set up in which representatives from the four coalition entities would meet weekly.
"A government spokesperson is to be appointed, there is to be a completely new centre creating government information policy. (...) We have agreed on a date (...) for regular meetings [of coalition leaders - PAP ed.]," he added.
Poland's parliamentary Speaker expressed the expectation that Prime Minister Donald Tusk will present the government's reconstruction project to his coalition partners as soon as possible.
"We want to be ready to close this topic within 1-1.5 months," he added.
