The government wants to increase funding for Polish Armaments Group (PGZ), Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced during the 33rd International Defence Industry Exhibition MSPO in Kielce. On Wednesday, PGZ will sign a strategic cooperation agreement with Poland's largest lender by assets PKO BP.
"We are making a decision to increase funding for the Polish Armaments Group and, through PGZ, for Polish institutes, both civil and military, scientific institutes, Polish state-owned and private companies, which, thanks to this cooperation, including the signing of a credit agreement with PKO BP, will receive billions of zlotys - currently two billion, but in the near future it may be as much as PLN 12 billion - in order to build a system that will be able to absorb tens of billions of euros from, for example, the SAFE programme, but not only that," the Prime Minister announced.
On Wednesday, a ceremony will be held to sign a strategic cooperation agreement between the Polish Armaments Group and Poland's largest lender by assets PKO BP.
