Poland's President signs amendment to investment funds act
Poland's President Karol Nawrocki has signed into law an amendment to the mutual funds act and the alternative mutual funds management act, the presidential office announced.
The aim of the changes is to simplify the rules for combining units in mutual funds, which is expected to improve the capital market. After the change, funds will gain more flexible tools for managing the structure of units, while maintaining their existing disclosure obligations.
The possibility of merging participation units of the same category will be permitted if the articles of association of an open-ended mutual fund so provide.
The act shall enter into force 14 days after its publication.
