Poland's manufacturing industry climate improves in April - researcher
Poland's manufacturing industry climate improved in April by 2.3 points month on month to minus 3.3, according to a survey conducted by the Institute of Economic Development of the Warsaw School of Economics (IRG SGH). The upturn was thanks to public sector units.
The IRG SGH Business Climate Indicator (IRGIND) increased by 2.3 points to minus 3.3. Over the course of the year, the index has increased by 1.1 points.
According to IRG SGH, the improvement in the business climate was recorded only in the public sector.
The greatest influence on monthly growth of the economic climate index came from the anticipated increase in production volumes and an increase in the level of orders.
The authors of the survey reported that forecasts for the coming months are moderately optimistic.
The researched pointed out that entrepreneurs reported an increase in the severity of barriers to business activity.
