Poland's c. bank share of gold in FX reserves at 22 pct or 509.3 tonnes, says governor
The share of gold in the foreign exchange reserves of Poland's central bank NBP currently stands at 22 percent, amounting to 509.3 tonnes, Poland's central bank NBP governor Adam Glapinski told a press conference following the MPC's decision on cutting the interest rates made on Wednesday.
"Poland's central bank NBP's gold reserves amount to 509.3 tonnes and their share of reserves reaches 22 percent at the moment," Glapinski said.
In a presentation made at the press conference, Poland's central bank said that with its current reserves, Poland's central bank NBP ranks 12th in the ranking of central banks holding the largest gold reserves.
