Listed media group Agora has maintained its forecast for expenditure growth in Poland's advertising market throughout 2025 at around 6.5-8.5 percent, according to a management report. In the second quarter of 2025, the company posted net loss of PLN 3.8 million (EUR 892,240) and EBITDA profit of PLN 65.5 million (EUR 15.4 mln).
"The dynamics of the entire advertising market in Poland, both in the first and second quarters of 2025, were in line with expectations. At this point, the company is not changing its expectations regarding the growth rate of the entire advertising market in Poland," Agora said in the report.
"In view of the improved situation on the press advertising market, the company is revising its forecast ranges for this medium upwards," it added.
In the second quarter of 2025, Agora's net loss amounted to PLN 3.8 million (EUR 892,240) against a net loss of PLN 8.1 million (EUR 1.9 mln) in the prior year period. The group's EBITDA stood at PLN 65.5 million (EUR 15.4 mln).
Agora's revenue reached PLN 379.6 million (EUR 89.1 mln), up from PLN 325 million (EUR 76.3 mln) in the prior year period. Operating profit amounted to PLN 21.2 million (EUR 5 mln) versus PLN 12.8 million (EUR 3 mln) in the second quarter of last year.
In the first half of 2025, the Agora group achieved EBITDA of PLN 118.5 million (EUR 27.8 mln) and EBIT of PLN 27.6 million (EUR 6.5 mln).
