mBank lender expects costs of FX loans-related legal risk to reach PLN 426.7 mln in Q3 2025

mBank, Warsaw-listed unit of Commerzbank, estimates the costs of legal risk related to foreign currency-indexed loans in the third quarter of 2025 at PLN 426.7 million (EUR 99.9 mln), the bank said in a market filing.


"The management board of mBank S.A. informs that in connection with the decision taken on September 29, 2025, by the bank, the costs of legal risk related to loans indexed to foreign currencies recognised in Q3 2025, amounted to PLN 426.7 million," mBank announced in the market filing.

According to the lender, these costs result mainly from the update of the forecasted number of court cases and the settlement program costs, as well as the update of other model parameters.

The final value of costs of legal risk related to loans indexed to foreign currencies in the third quarter of 2025 will be disclosed in the quarterly financial statements due to be announced on October 30.
