Zabka Group SA (Żabka)Poczta Polska postal operator inks deal on parcels handling with Zabka grocer
Poland's state postal operator Poczta Polska has signed a new agreement with listed convenience store chain Zabka Polska, which involves a direct business partnership, Poczta Polska said in a press release. The companies have carried out a technological integration that will facilitate the service for customers collecting and sending parcels at the retail chain's shops.
It was indicated that similar solutions will be introduced in the future in cooperation with other partners.
"Zabka is the first entity with which Poczta has integrated itself technologically. Such cooperation in the field of parcel handling - without the participation of intermediary entities - is ultimately to become a standard applicable in cooperation with other partners as well," Poczta Polska said in the press release.
"The work carried out together with Zabka Polska will certainly facilitate the implementation of similar solutions with other partners, in commercial chains whose customers can collect and send parcels delivered by Poczta Polska". - it added.
Poland's postal operator reported that in the new cooperation model the operational systems of Poczta Polska and Zabka will communicate directly. The transition from a three-way cooperation model to a two-way (direct) one will not affect the customer experience. All existing processes related to sending and receiving parcels will be carried out in the same way as before.
"Currently, out of all partner outlets, customers of Poczta Polska are most likely to choose Zabka chain shops. As of February this year, this includes more than 11,000 shops - in city centres, shopping malls and smaller towns," Poczta Polska pointed out.
