Poland sees demand for home loans in February up by 37.2 pct y/y
The demand of home loans in Poland in February increased by 37.2 percent year on year, Polish credit information firm BIK said in a press release. The number of applicants for a home loan in February increased by 24.3 percent year on year.
A total of 33.11 thousand people applied for a home loan in February 2025, compared to 26.64 thousand a year earlier, translating into a year on year increase of 24.3 percent.
The number of people applying for a home loan increased by 17.0 percent in February compared to January.
The average value of a home loan applied for was PLN 449,100 (EUR 107,992.83) in February 2025 and was 5.1 percent higher than in February 2024.
Compared to January 2025, it was 1.7 percent higher. This amount is the highest on record.
