Poland's capacity catch-up auction for 2029 ends in first round - grid operator PSE
Poland has completed its capacity catch-up auction for 2029 in the first round, according to the state grid operator PSE' s website.
In the first round, the initial price was at PLN 536.80 per kW/year and the minimum price at PLN 492.09 per kW/year, the auction's schedule shows.
The rounded total volume of capacity obligations offered was 5,000 MW.
The preliminary results of the auction will be published within 3 business days after the auction ends, said PSE.
The demand for power in the catch-up auction for the 2029 delivery year was 5,236 MW.
The maximum price at the auction amounted to PLN 536.80 per kW per year.
The main auction for 2029 was held in December 2024. Capacity contracts were not awarded then to gas power plants.
