PKN Orlen SAPoland's natgas storage facilities 75 pct full on January 19
Poland's natgas storage facilities' filling level has fallen to 75 percent as of January 19, 2025, according to Gas Storage Poland, the natural gas gathering and storage company, subsidiary of Poland's largest energy concern Orlen.
At the beginning of November, the filling level was 98 percent.
In June 2022, a few months after Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the EU adopted a regulation requiring member states to store gas. According to the regulation, EU gas facilities were to be filled throughout the year - so that by November 1, the stock level was 90 percent.
By the end of March, the filling level was around 43 percent. Since then, filling had been gradually increasing.
