JSW SAPoland's social insurer ZUS approves JSW’s request to defer payment of about PLN 315 mln in contributions
Poland's social insurer ZUS has approved listed coking coal group JSW's request to defer payment of contributions amounting to approximately PLN 315 million (EUR 73.6 mln). Originally, the company requested a deferral of approximately PLN 1.3 billion (EUR 303.9 mln), the company said in a market filing. JSW will apply for deferrals of further amounts in subsequent applications to ZUS.
As stated, due to ZUS's internal procedures and decision-making practice, JSW decided to apply for a deferral of approximately PLN 315 million (EUR 73.6 mln) out of the originally planned amount of approximately PLN 1.3 billion (EUR 303.9 mln), which represents 90 percent of the value of contributions for the three months covered by the application. The remaining 10 percent will be paid by JSW within the statutory deadline, in accordance with the application and the notification received.
ZUS, justifying that the company has taken numerous measures to improve its financial situation and liquidity, which will provide funds to settle the contributions within the deferred payment period, agreed to defer the payment of contributions.
