Tauron PE SATauron expects capital group's consolidated 2024 profit to rise by PLN 113 mln due to reversal of asset impairment charges
Listed power utility Tauron estimates that, as a result of the reversal of asset impairment charges, the capital group's consolidated pre-tax result for 2024 will increase by PLN 113 million (EUR 27.2 mln), the company said in a market filing.
Tauron said that the analyses had proven the grounds for the reversal of impairment losses on tangible and intangible assets and rights to use assets in the amount of PLN 113 million (EUR 27.2 mln), which will increase the consolidated gross financial result of the issuer's group for 2024 by this exact amount.
Tauron reported that the analyses carried out also showed the validity of the reversal of the impairment loss on the shares in the group's heating unit Tauron Cieplo by PLN 585 million (EUR 140.75 mln), which will increase the company's standalone pre-tax financial result for 2024 by the above amount.
The group pointed out in the market filing that that the reversal and creation of the above impairment losses will not affect the EBITDA in the company's standalone and consolidated financial statements and the company's capital group.
Tauron stipulated that the values are estimates and are subject to change. The final results of the tests and the size of the asset impairment charges will be presented in the 2024 financial statements of Tauron Polska Energia and the Tauron Capital Group.
