XTB fintech hopes for 250k new customers in Q4; may discontinue its operations in Brazil

Listed fintech XTB expects to exceed 100,000 new customers for the first time in October and 250,000 new customers in the fourth quarter of 2025, the company representatives announced at a video conference. The management added that despite obtaining a licence in Brazil, the likelihood of ceasing operations in this market is higher than continuing them.

"By October 26, we had acquired approximately 96,000 accounts. Everything indicates that (...) in October we will acquire over 100,000 accounts – for the first time in the company's history," CEO Omar Arnaout told the video conference.

"Given our active marketing efforts, I hope that in the fourth quarter, for the first time in our history, we will exceed a quarter of a million new customers in a single quarter, which will serve as a basis for achieving even better results next year," he added.

In the third quarter of 2025, XTB acquired a record number of new customers – 221,762 against 108,104 in the prior year period, which represents an increase of 105.1 percent.

XTB indicated that despite obtaining a licence in Brazil, the likelihood of ceasing operations in this market is higher than their continuation.

When publishing its estimated results for the third quarter of 2025, XTB announced that the licence acquisition process had been completed this year, in line with the plan.

The group obtained a licence to operate and began the process of being added to the list of supervised institutions, but due to the current situation in the brokerage sector on the Brazilian market, in particular local protectionism, XTB is considering all possible business options, including discontinuing further operations in this market.

Late Tuesday, in the market filing on its preliminary financial report, the group announced that in the third quarter of 2025, it had generated a net profit of PLN 53.2 million (EUR 12.6 mln) and revenues of PLN 375.8 million (EUR 88.8 mln).
