Zabka Group SAZabka grocer to launch new logistics centre near Wroclaw
Listed convenience store chain Zabka will launch a new logistics centre near Wroclaw at the beginning of 2025, the company announced in a press release.
As stated, the new facility will replace the previous one, which operates in Tyniec Maly near Wroclaw, and will cease operations after a planned five-year operation.
The new warehouse, located in Katy Wroclawskie, will be built in the immediate vicinity of the A4 motorway and will be opened in two stages.
At the beginning of 2025, the freezer and automatic cold storage areas will be put into operation, followed by the dry zone, which means the transfer of operations from the warehouse in Tyniec Maly.
The new investment will employ nearly 600 people.
The area of the new logistics centre will be 35,000 square metres, with the aim of expanding it by a further 6,500 square metres.
The centre will supply around 1,500 shops in the Wroclaw region at launch.
Zabka's logistics network currently includes 8 logistics centres and 19 transshipment terminals, from which goods are distributed to over 10,900 shops throughout Poland.
