Poland signs contracts for 44.2 pct of EU 2021-2027 funds by June 29 - dev. funds ministry
By June 29,16,914 agreements had been signed for EU funding for projects that will use 44.2 percent of the available EU cohesion policy funds earmarked for 2021-2027, Poland's Ministry of Development Funds and Regional Policy (MFiPR) reported on its website.
"16,914 project co-financing agreements were signed with beneficiaries, with eligible expenditure of PLN 179.3 billion, including PLN 140.7 billion of EU co-financing, representing 44.2 percent of the of EU funds' available allocation," the ministry wrote.
MFiPR added that by June 29, under national and regional programmes, potential beneficiaries had submitted 58,008 applications for projects with a total value of PLN 459.9 billion (EUR 108.6 bln), of which the requested EU co-financing amounted to PLN 354.2 billion (EUR 83.6 bln).
