Polish butter prices up by 11.4 pct m/m and 49.2 pct y/y by December 8
In the week ended December 8, prices of butter in Poland increased by 11.4 percent month on month and by 49.2 percent year on year to PLN 36.68 (EUR 8.61) per kilogram (butter in blocks), according to data published by national agriculture support centre KOWR on Tuesday.
Poland's Government Agency for Strategic Reserves (RARS) has announced a tender for the sale of 1,000 tonnes of butter in order to stabilise the situation on the market, arising from the world's prices growth.
The tender announced by RARS is for the sale of frozen butter in 25 kilogrammes blocks. The minimum selling price for butter is PLN 28.38 (EUR 6.66) per kilogram (excluding VAT).
"The opening of bids related to the tender will take place on December 19, 2024," the Prime Minister's office announced.
