Polish President's veto on extending aid to Ukrainians means shutdown of Starlink internet in Ukraine, Dep. PM warns
Polish President's veto of the bill on extending aid to Ukrainians means that Starlink internet will be shut down in Ukraine, Deputy Prime Minister Krzysztof Gawkowski wrote on X.
President Karol Nawrocki announced on Monday that he had vetoed another bill, this time concerning the extension of aid to Ukrainian citizens.
"Presidential vetoes represent shotgun approach! Karol Nawrocki's decision shuts down the Internet in Ukraine, because in fact this is what his decision on the bill on aid to Ukrainian citizens means. This is the end of Starlink Internet, which Poland provides to Ukraine at war. It is also the end of support for storing Ukrainian administration data in a secure location," Gawkowski warned on X.
"I can't imagine a better gift for Putin's troops than cutting Ukraine off from the internet, which is what the President has just decided to do," he added.
