Cyfrowy Polsat SACyfrowy Polsat TMT believes digital tax will level playing field for Polish companies
Listed TMT group Cyfrowy Polsat assesses that the introduction of digital tax in Poland will level the playing field for Polish companies on the local market in relation to global players, deputy CEO for strategy Maciej Stec told a video conference following the release of group's financial report for the second quarter of 2025.
"Yes, we believe that the issue of digital tax should be regulated. Mainly so that Polish companies can compete on equal terms with global players," said Stec.
"(...) We compete on the local market (...). We believe that if the digital tax is regulated, we will indeed level the playing field for Polish companies in relation to global players in Poland," he explained.
Stec also upheld the goal of doubling wind power production to 289 MW by the end of 2025, which is expected to strengthen EBITDA.
In addition, he pointed out that Cyfrowy Polsat grew faster than the market in terms of advertising.
"We grew at a rate of 3.7 percent in the advertising and sponsorship market, while the market grew slightly above 2 percent," said Stec.
