Zabka Group SA (Żabka)Zabka grocer launches new logistics centre in southern Poland
Listed convenience store chain Zabka has launched a new logistics centre in Katy Wroclawskie in the south of Poland, and the new centre will ultimately provide approximately 600 jobs, the group said in a press release.
In the first phase of operation, the facility will serve approximately 1,500 shops in the Wroclaw area (Lower Silesia region). The area of the warehouse is 35,000 square metres, with the potential to expand by another 6,500 square metres.
"Nearly 600 people will find employment at the just-opened facility - both those employed directly by Zabka and by companies cooperating with it," the group wrote in the press release.
Zabka's logistics network currently includes 8 logistics centres and 19 transshipment terminals, including 2 of its own, from which goods are distributed to shops throughout Poland.
The solutions implemented by the company enable the service of over 9,000 franchisees running more than 11,000 shops, to which approximately 3 million deliveries are being made annually.
