Poland may see interest rate cut in May or any subsequent month, says c. bank governor
Interest rate cut is likely to occur in May or any subsequent month, Poland's central bank NBP governor Adam Glapinski told Thursday's press conference following a Monetary Policy Council's decision on interest rates made on Wednesday. According to his statements, is too early for a cycle of interest rate cuts in Poland and only a one-off adjustment should take place.
"It can happen in May as well as in any subsequent month," Glapinski assessed, when asked if the interest rate cut may happen as early as in a month.
"I think there should be a one-time adjustment, whether small or large, depending on the data," he added.
