Poland's MPC cuts interest rate by 25 bps to 5.0 pct, all rates reduced
Poland's Monetary Policy Council (MPC) has decided to cut interest rate by 25 basis points to 5.0 percent, against analysts’ expectations of the rates unchanged at 5.25 percent, Poland's central bank NBP said on its website on Wednesday.
The MPC has also cut the deposit and lombard rates by 25 basis points each to 4.50 percent and 5.50 percent, respectively.
The rediscount rate has been reduced by 25 basis points to 5.05 percent and the discount rate has been cut to 5.10 percent.
The Council is slated to publish the statement following its meeting at 16:15 local time on Wednesday, July 2, while the follow-up monthly presser of the central bank's governor Adam Glapinski is scheduled for 15:00 local time on Thursday, July 3.
