Listed rail hauler PKP Cargo has signed a letter of intent with green transport producer Alstom Polska to employ the company's employees, PKP Cargo said in a press release.
As reported, the company's new employment support programme for employees will be implemented in the coming weeks and will cover operational professional groups where Alstom is recruiting.
"Alstom, as one of the largest manufacturers of rail vehicles, offers numerous jobs and interesting opportunities to develop professional competence. I believe that our experienced employees are eager to take advantage of this offer, which will benefit both the new employer and them," PKP Cargo's acting CEO Marcin Wojewodka said.
"We have signed two letters of intent with Alstom. In total, we have already signed sixteen agreements with various companies offering work in various specialisations. Within the framework of these letters, our partners offer more than 2,000 jobs in various locations across Poland," the head of PKP Cargo's human resources management office Martyna Gileta added.
Alstom's CEE region HR head Monika Koscielna pointed out that the company employs more than 4,500 people in Poland, including the plants in Chorzow, Katowice, Wroclaw and Nadarzyn.
"It is in these plants that we see job opportunities for PKP Cargo employees, in particular for engineers, welders, electricians, electronics and electromechanics, as well as specialists in logistics, quality and purchasing," Koscielna said.
