Poland's MPC to take wait-and-see approach with no cycle announced, says c. bank governor
Wednesday's interest rate cut is not indicatory of the beginning of a cycle, the Monetary Policy Council remains in a wait-and-see mode, Poland's central bank NBP governor Adam Glapinski told a press conference on Thursday following the MPC's decision-making meeting held on July 1-2.
"Next decisions will be information-dependent, we are not announcing a path of interest rate cuts, this is not the beginning of a cycle, we are not announcing anything," Glapinski stressed.
"We will make decisions based on incoming data, we will act in a way to lower inflation permanently," he added.
